भारतीय जनता पार्टी के वरिष्ठ नेता और राम मंदिर आंदोलन के प्रमुख चेहरों में से एक विनय कटियार ने अयोध्या मस्जिद और मुस्लिम समुदाय के खिलाफ नफरती बयान दिया था. अब उस बयान के समर्थन में उत्तर प्रदेश के राज्य मंत्री रघुराज सिंह मैदान में उतर आए हैं. विनय कटिया के बयान का समर्थन करते हुए रघुराज सिंह ने कहा कि देवता और दैत्य एक साथ नहीं रह सकते. उन्होंने दैत्या (राक्षस) शब्द का इस्तेमाल मुस्लिम समुदाय के लिए किया है. इस बयान के बाद उत्तर प्रदेश की सियासी पारा हाई हो गई है.

Now, Uttar Pradesh Minister of State Raghuraj Singh has come forward in support of Katiyar's statement. Supporting Katiyar's statement, Raghuraj Singh said that gods and demons cannot coexist. He used the word "daitya" (demon) to refer to the Muslim community. This statement has raised the political temperature in Uttar Pradesh.
