दिल्ली में सोमवार सुबह भूकंप के जोरदार झटके महसूस किए गए. कई सेकंड तक धरती डोलती रही. लोग दशहत में अपने घरों से बाहर निकल गए. राष्ट्रीय भूकंप विज्ञान केंद्र (National Centre For Seismology) के मुताबिक रिक्टर स्केल पर भूकंप की तीव्रता 4.0 मापी गई, इसका केंद्र दिल्ली के पास ही धरती से 5 किलोमीटर की गहराई में था. इसीलिए तेज झटके महसूस हुए. कुछ सेकंड तक चलने वाले भूकंप के झटके इतने तेज थे कि इमारतों के अंदर जोरदार कंपन महसूस हुआ. भूकंप सुबह 5 बजकर 36 मिनट पर आया, जिससे लोगों की नींद उड़ गई.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the intensity of the earthquake was measured 4.0 on the Richter scale, its epicenter was at a depth of 5 kilometers from the earth near Delhi. That is why strong tremors were felt. The tremors of the earthquake, which lasted for a few seconds, were so strong that strong vibrations were felt inside the buildings. The earthquake occurred at 5:36 am, which disturbed the sleep of the people.
