Deepika Padukone is the reigning queen of Bollywood, today but the actress too had to go through her own share of struggles to reach the pinnacle of success.

DeePee, who marked her Hollywood debut with xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage, is gracing the cover page of UK’s popular Evening Standard Magazine’s latest edition and in her interview to the glossy, DeePee shared that she has also faced sexism in the industry.

Padukone revealed that she was advised to do a lot of things including a boob job and beauty pageants as people felt that it was the right way to get noticed by filmmakers. However, she didn’t pay heed to their their advices and followed her gut.


Judging by where she is today, she certainly took all the right decisions.
