It has been a good year for Bollywood with one blockbuster outdoing the other. Here's a look at Bollywood's top grosser in 2013.

Chennai Express. This Rohit Shetty joy ride surpassed expectations and did historic business in Indian cinema. Deepika Padukone matched up to and sometimes even overshadowed King Khan with her acting.

Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani emerged as one of the most successful films this year. Dharma's banner with the controversial ex couple Ranbir-Deepika backed with chartbusters for songs; this one spelled magic at the box office.

The Krrish franchise brought to us their third installment this year with Krrish 3 and was unsurprisingly a smashing hit; breaking all records.

Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, the biopic of athlete milkha singh starring farhan akhtaaar, was one of the few films where the critics and the box office saw eye to eye. The film was critically acclaimed and also set the ticket counters ringing.

Grand Masti was the surprise blockbuster of the year. Though criticized for its lewd content, the self claimed sex comedy found its audience and went on to enter the coveted 100cr club.

Race 2 was the first major hit of the year 2013. With a very hot ensemble cast and over 800 twists which is a Abbas Mustan trademark, the film almost made 100crores and was hugely successful.

Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ramleela was a Sanjay Leela Bhansali magnum opus that saw huge crowds at the ticket window. The sizzling chemistry betweek Deepika and Ranveer went on to become the talk of the town.

Ashiqui2 didn't have too much riding on it. The film had newcomers Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha kapoor in meaty roles and did not even boast of a big budget. Yet, the Mohit Suri directed earned its HIT status based on good acting and blockbuster music.

The yet to release Dhoom3 has blockbuster written all over it. The much anticipated yash Raj product, like its previous installments, is expected to do very well. We hope that the year does end with a dhoom!
