Though prospective grooms seek hands of Urmila Matondkar. her shy, fearful and introvert nature spoils them. This creates problems in the family when her uncles and aunts accuse her, the motherless daughter, for being too pampered in the house and her father, Om Puri, for running the family business. They are further shocked when the other granddaughter rolls down from steps and fall.
