पड़ोसी चीन और कई अन्य देशों में कोविड-19 के ताजा प्रकोप पर चिंताओं के बीच, भारत ने संक्रमण में किसी भी तरह की बढ़ोतरी को दूर रखने के लिए अपनी निगरानी को मजबूत किया है। केंद्र ने वायरस के प्रसार की जांच के लिए एक एडवाइजरी जारी की है, जिसमें 2 प्रतिशत विदेशी यात्रियों का रैंडम सैंपलिंग शामिल है। यह नियम आज से लागू हो गया है। इसके अलावा, स्वास्थ्य देखभाल केंद्रों की कोविड-19 तैयारियों की निगरानी के लिए अगले सप्ताह (27 दिसंबर) पूरे भारत में मॉक ड्रिल आयोजित की जाएगी।

Amid concerns over a fresh outbreak of Covid-19 in neighbouring China and several other countries, India has strengthened its surveillance to keep any spike in infections at bay. The Centre has issued an advisory to check spread of the virus, which includes random sampling of 2 per cent of foreign passengers. This rule comes into effect from today onwards. Furthermore, mock drills will be conducted across India next week (December 27) to monitor the Covid-19 preparedness of heath care centres.
