पश्चिम बंगाल में त्रिस्तरीय पंचायत चुनाव के तहत जारी मतदान के बीच चुनाव से जुड़ी हिंसा में अभी तक 14 लोगों की मौत हो चुकी है. अधिकारियों ने बताया कि मारे गए लोगों में 6 टीएमसी के सदस्य हैं. वहीं, बीजेपी, सीपीआई (एम), कांग्रेस और आईएसएफ के एक-एक कार्यकर्ता की मौत हुई है. इसके अलावा एक अन्य व्यक्ति की मौत हो गई, जिसके बारे में जानकारी नहीं मिल सकी है कि वो किस राजनीतिक पार्टी से जुड़ा था. मालदा जिले में इंग्लिश बाजार के नागहरिया इलाके में बूथ संख्या 25 और 26 पर पथराव और बम फेंके जाने की खबर है. मौके पर पुलिसकर्मियों को तैनात कर दिया गया है.
