A delicious Middle Eastern Semolina cake soaked in simple syrup.
This dense, moist, and aromatic cake will melt in your mouth.
INGREDIENTS:
For Syrup
one cup Sugar
one cup Water
1 tsp Lemon juice
1tbsp Rose water
For Cake:
2 Eggs
1⁄4 cup Vanilla sugar
(if you don't have Vanilla sugar
you can use 4tbsp sugar plus 2tsp vanilla instead.
as vanilla sugar is just a compound of powdered sugar and the vanilla bean)
½ cup Yogurt
½ cup Ghee / Oil / Butter
1⁄4 cup Milk Powder
½ cup Semolina
½ cup Flour
⅓ cup Desiccated Coconut
1 tsp Baking Powder
½ tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
