बांग्लादेश में गुरुवार को हुए आम चुनाव में बांग्लादेश नेशनलिस्ट पार्टी (BNP) ने बड़ी जीत दर्ज की है। प्रथोम ओलो के मुताबिक BNP+गठबंधन ने 299 सीटों में से 212 सीटें हासिल कर बहुमत के लिए जरूरी 150 के आंकड़े को पार कर लिया। अब तक 297 सीटों के नतीजे घोषित हो चुके हैं।

जमात-ए-इस्लामी के नेतृत्व वाले 11 दलों के गठबंधन को अब तक 77 सीटें मिली हैं। देश में करीब 20 साल बाद BNP की सरकार बनेगी। 2008 से 2024 तक वहां शेख हसीना की आवामी लीग सत्ता में थी। इस जीत के साथ BNP अध्यक्ष तारिक रहमान का प्रधानमंत्री बनना तय माना जा रहा है।

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has registered a landslide victory in the general elections held in Bangladesh on Thursday. According to Prothom Olo, the BNP+ alliance has crossed the 150-mark required for a majority by securing 212 seats out of 299. Results for 297 seats have been declared so far.

The 11-party alliance led by Jamaat-e-Islami has so far secured 77 seats. The BNP will form a government in the country after nearly 20 years. Sheikh Hasina's Awami League was in power there from 2008 to 2024. With this victory, BNP President Tarique Rahman is considered certain to become the Prime Minister.
