माफिया अतीक ने उमेश पाल हत्याकांड को लेकर गुनाह कबूल कर लिया है। पुलिस की पूछताछ में अतीक ने बताया है कि उमेश पाल को मारने की प्लानिंग उसी ने की थी। अतीक ने बताया कि उमेश पाल खुलेआम उसके खिलाफ बोल रहा था...ऐसे में अगर उसे नहीं मारते तो अतीक गैंग का ख़ौफ ख़त्म हो जाता। अतीक ने ये भी खुलासा किया कि उसी के कहने पर असद इस पूरी वारदात में शामिल हुआ। माफिया अतीक ने बताया कि उसके भाई अशरफ ने शूटर्स का इंतजाम किया था। अतीक का कहना है कि उमेश पाल की हत्या के पीछे मकसद था कि पूरा प्रयागराज जान जाए कि अतीक अब भी जिंदा है ।
