Asian Games 2023: Here's everything you need to know about rules of Archery

The game is played in two different formats i.e. Recurve & Compound.
Recurve Event
In this event, archers use a bow called the "riser" with extended limbs known as "arcs." They draw the string towards their face with their fingers and aim through a sight. To protect themselves and stabilize the bow in windy conditions, archers wear finger tabs, arm guards, and stabilizing rods. They shoot at a target face placed 70 meters away, and the target has a diameter of 122cm. The innermost 10-point ring measures 12.2cm in diameter.
Compound Event
In the compound event, archers use a bow with pulleys, which allows for greater accuracy and power. A scope with a magnifying lens complements the sight pin for aiming. The target is set at 50 meters, and the target face has a diameter of 80cm. The innermost 10-point ring measures 8cm in diameter.
