Having a 100 crore film is a dream in Bollywood that every actor wants to achieve. The latest achievers yet again in this rat race are the makers of 2 States, Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala. Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor starrer 2 States has not only made a mark on the Indian audience but is also dominating the overseas market.
Acclaimed film critic Taran Adarsh recently announced that the adapted love story has crossed the 100 crore mark. He tweeted, "And #2States hits a ton. Crosses ₹ 100 cr mark. Week 4: Fri 70 lacs, Sat 1.06 cr, Sun 1.42 cr. Grand total: ₹ 102.13 cr nett. SUPER HIT." He further added, "EXCLUSIVE OVERSEAS DATA: #2States continues to dominate! Source: Rentrak Corporation."
Notably, 2 States becomes Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor first 100 crore film. Though Highway and Gunday we pretty much successful, they were unable to achieve the Rs 100 crore target.
