Are Himesh Reshammiya and Yo Yo Honey Singh overconfident about The Xpose
by
The release date of Himesh Reshammiya and Honey Singh starrer The Xpose has been changed. We hear the retro film will release a week earlier from its original schedule. Read on to know why...
Himesh Reshammiya will entertain the audience once again with his new film The Xpose which will also mark Punjabi rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh's acting debut. Directed by Anant Mahadevan and produced by Vipin Reshammiya, the film was to release on May 23. However, The Xpose will now hit the theatres a week in advance that is on May 16. Since the film's music has garnered positive response from the audience, the makers have decided to release the film early. Anil Thadani who has bought the distribution rights of Himesh's film was the one who suggested this idea of early-release to the makers of The Xpose. While talking to a leading daily, a source said, "Seeing the success of the music of Aashiqui 2, Anil, who had distributed that movie as well, had recommended proponing its release. And the result was a box-office hit. Now that the music of The Xpose has become successful, he has made a similar suggestion. Also, there are six crucial cricket matches between May 23 and 25."
Rakesh Upadhyay, creative producer of Reshammiya and Singh's film has confirmed the change in the release date. He said to a leading daily, "May 16 is a better date because there is only one cricket match that weekend."
Going by Mr Upadhyay's statement, wethinks the makers of The Xpose have revised the release date coz they don't Himesh starrer to clash with the cricket matches. As for the music, The Xpose is nowhere close to Aashiqui 2 which was the biggest musical blockbuster of the last year. All we can say to The Xpose team and Himesh Reshammiya is that -- there is a thin line between being confident and over confident. And wethinks the producer-singer-actor is the latter one in this case
