Apurva Asrani - Writer Of Aligarh, Editor Of Satya, Shahid, Citylights

Apurva Asrani, Editor and Writer of notable films in Bollywood, speaks with Komal Nahta about his craft, and the films he has worked on and how he made the switch from Editing in films to Writing scripts.
Apurva is also a popular columnist in magazines and was approached by Director Hansal Mehta to write for his upcoming film, Aligarh. Aligarh stars Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkummar Rao and has been much-appreciated in the film festival scene, and will release in Indian theatres in February 2016.
Apurva feels that his true calling is as a writer and storyteller. He will also be working on Manish Mundra's Waiting, that stars Naseeruddin Shah and Kalki Koechlin. He has been associated with films for editing in films like Satya, Shahid and Citylights - all of which have gained cult status with the audience.
