Author Manreet Sodhi Someshwar's, The Hunt for Kohinoor, the second book on Mehrunisa trilogy, has hit the stalls and the maverick filmmaker feels PeeCee will play Mehrunisa perfectly
Anubhav Sinha feels that if Manreet Sodhi Someshwar's literary work is adapted for the big screen, heroine Priyanka Chopra would be apt to play the sleuth. The second book of Mehrunisa trilogy, The Hunt for Kohinoor follows a 96-hour journey of Mehrunisa, an Indian female Sherlock Holmes. It is a hunt through the world's most dangerous terrain in order to retrieve the precious diamond -- Kohinoor.
"No one fits the bill better than Priyanka Chopra with her strong feminine presence. With a combination of vulnerability and head-strong nature, Priyanka would portray Mehrunisa perfectly," Sinha said in a statement. He launched the book recently, and is currently busy with the production of his women-centric drama Gulaab Gang, which stars Madhuri Dixit in the lead role.
