Amitabh Bachchan's Gujarat tourism campaign delayed!
by
Amitabh Bachchan, who is busy wrapping up his film Bhoothnath Returns, has been feeling a little under the weather for past few days. In fact, the veteran actor underwent CT scan recently and has been advised to take rest by the doctors. Hence the shooting of 'Khushboo Gujarat Ki' campaign featuring Big B has been rescheduled. In an interview, an official from Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd said, "We received the message from Amitabh Bachchan in this regard a short while ago and that is why we have decided to reschedule his programme of visits to the sites at later stage."
But that's not the only reason behind the campaign being pushed forward. Naranbhai Rathwa, former Union Minister and Congress candidate from Chhota Udepur earlier raised objections over the advertisement starring Big B. According to Rathwa, the purpose behind Mr Bachchan's campaign was to influence the voters in the concerned area by using the megastar's celebrity status. Last week, Vadodara Congress chief Narendra Rawat also objected to the ad shoot and told a leading daily, "The advertisement is used for promoting development under BJP in Gujarat. We oppose the same as a celebrity of this rank is being used to promote BJP's false developments (claims) in tourism sector, during election time to market BJP in name of shooting tourism advertisement
