Amitabh Bachchan was voted as the second most trusted personality after Mahatma Gandhi. According to the Brand Trust Report, India Study, 2014 the Father of the nation has emerged as the Most Trusted personality in India following him close in the second spot is none other than the Bhoothnath Returns actor. Other Bollywood personalities like Sridevi and AR Rahman too found a mention in this list. In a list of twenty, a fairly large number belong to various runs of life including the films and sports, Amitabh Bachchan ranked second in the overall list, moving up from the 6th Most Trusted personality in 2013. Shahrukh Khan ranked third and the recently retired master-blaster, Sachin Tendulkar stood fourth. Salman Khan who ranked third in 2013, has fallen to the 6th Most Trusted personality, while Aamir Khan who shared the third spot with Sallu stood far behind on the 11th spot. Dance India Dance's grand master Mithun Chakraborthy bagged the seventh place. Katrina Kaif is the first heroine to be listed at 13th rank, followed by Anushka Sharma's alleged boyfriend Virat Kohli on number 14. Sridevi stood at 19th position followed by music maestro and double Oscar winner AR Rahman, who closed the list at 20.

Petra Ecclestone, British-Croatian heiress, model, fashion designer and socialite debuts in this list and makes a surprise entry at 5th position. The captain of the Indian cricket team Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is missing from the much awaited Asia Cup bagged the eighth spot, and former captain Sourav Ganguly ranked ninth. Ratan Tata, the first and only personality listed under the business category in both years. Indian tennis legend Sania Mirza ranks 15th while Mother Teresa, Kapil Dev and Swami Vivekananda rank 16th, 17th and 18th respectively
