Aamir Khan's Support For Dangal Girl Zaira Wasim's Apology For Meeting Mehbooba Mufti​

Dangal star Zaira Wasim, who won hearts with her performance as the young Geeta Phogat, shocked everyone when she wrote an open apology letter, on Facebook, stating that the youth of Kashmir shouldn’t consider her as a role model as they would be ‘disgracing’ themselves by doing that.

Though she deleted the post later, her co-star Aamir Khan had a powerful response to her apology letter. Taking to Facebook, Aamir wrote:

I have read Zaira's statement, and I can understand and imagine what lead her to make that statement. Zaira, I want you to know that we are all with you. The beauty is that bright, young, talented, hardworking, respectful, caring and courageous kids like you are a role model for kids not only in India, but across the world. You certainly are a role model for me! May god bless you. Love. Aamir.

P.S. : I appeal to everyone to now leave her alone and respect the fact that she is just a 16 yr old girl trying her best to deal with life.

Reportedly, Zaira was being threatened on social media after she met Jammu and Kashmir’s Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
