Saroja comes to Jai Hind Vilas along with Sathya and Vijaya in a mood to confront Moorthy who has defrauded her. In fact, when Sathya tries to pacify her, she slaps her as well. That's when Gayathri comes out hearing the din and calls them 'roadside people'. Saroja obstinately refuses to leave the place unless Moorthy comes and returns her money as she has challenged her husband that she will come back only if she recovers all the money. When Gayathri calls Saroja a 'bajari', she gets up in a fit of rage and slaps Gayjathri tightly. Gayathri stands there, shell shocked. It took her a few moments to realize that a dominating personality like her has been hit by a tight slap. She composes herself and pays back Saroja in her own currency, a tight slap! Saroja loses balance and stumbles, but comes back to her senses. She challenges that she will approach the police immediately to recover her lost money and leaves.
