Moorthy, played by 'Avargal' Director Ganesh, is upset at the closeness between Vinodhini and Kumar. He is cross as both of them have disagreed to take him along when they go to meet Gayathri in jail. He is suspicious that Vinodhini is having an affair with Kumar. He sees Kumar going into the bathroom where Vinodhini is taking a bath. He latches the door and plans to humiliate them in front of all family members.
