भारत में सहमति की उम्र का मुद्दा बेहद ही संवेदनशील है. पॉक्सो एक्ट-2012 के जरिये देश में सहमति से शारीरिक संबंध बनाने की उम्र 16 से बढ़ाकर 18 वर्ष की गई थी.
