Black stones known as “shaligram shila” from the Kali Gandaki river in Nepal will reach Ayodhya for the carving of Lord Ram’s idol in the inner sanctum of the Ram Mandir being built in the city that Hindus believe is the birthplace of the hero of Ramayana, people aware of the matter said.

नेपाल से दो विशाल शालिग्राम शिलाएं अयोध्या लाई जा रही हैं. इनसे श्रीराम और माता सीता की मूर्ति बनाई जाएंगी. दावा है कि ये शिलाएं करीब 6 करोड़ साल पुरानी हैं. हालांकि, इनसे बनी मूर्तियां गर्भगृह में रखी जाएंगी या परिसर में कहीं और स्थापित होगी? ये अभी तय नहीं है.
