RJD के MLC कार्तिक कुमार की बिहार की पुलिस को किडनैपिंग के एक मामले में कई दिनों से तलाश थी. 2014 में एक बिल्डर की किडनैपिंग से जुड़ा ये मामला है. जिसमें एक महीने पहले कार्तिक कुमार के नाम से वारंट जारी हुआ था. लेकिन इसी बीच कार्तिक कुमार ने कैबिनेट मंत्री की शपथ भी ले ली. गौर करने वाली बात तो ये है कि जिन्हें कानून तलाश रहा था उन्हें नीतीश कुमार ने बिहार का कानून मंत्री बना दिया. इस मामले पर बीजेपी प्रवक्ता रामेश्वर चौरसिया ने सवाल पूछा है कि क्या नीतीश कुमार ने तेजस्वी यादव के आगे सरेंडर कर दिया.
