ईद के मुबारक त्योहार को पॉलिटिकल एजेंडे का हथियार कैसे बनाया जाता है इसका जीता-जागता उदाहरण आज देश ने देखा...सड़क पर नमाज पढ़कर प्रशासनिक आदेश का खुल्लम-खुला विरोध किया गया..जबकि कई उलेमाओं और मौलानाओं ने साफ-साफ अपील की थी कि नमाज सिर्फ मस्जिद या ईदगाह में ही पढ़ी जाए..लेकिन सारी बातें दरकिनार करते हुए सड़कों पर नमाज पढ़ी गई और साथ ही मुस्लिम पर्सनल बोर्ड की अपील के समर्थन में..हाथ पर काली पट्टी बांधकर वक्फ बिल का विरोध किया गया..इतना ही नहीं..फिलिस्तीन के पोस्टर लहराकर इजरायल का विरोध भी देखने को मिला...

Today the country saw a living example of how the holy festival of Eid is used as a weapon for political agenda... The administrative order was openly opposed by offering namaz on the road... while many Ulemas and Maulanas had clearly appealed that namaz should be offered only in the mosque or Idgah... but ignoring all things, namaz was offered on the roads and also in support of the appeal of the Muslim Personal Board... the Waqf Bill was opposed by tying a black band on the hand... not only this... opposition to Israel was also seen by waving posters of Palestine...
