Charanjit Singh Channi took oath as the 16th Chief Minister of Punjab. Channi became the first individual from the Dalit community in the state to take charge. The new Congress Chief Minister took the oath in Punjabi.

चरणजीत सिंह चन्नी ने पंजाब के 16वें मुख्यमंत्री के रूप में शपथ ली. चन्नी पदभार संभालने वाले राज्य के दलित समुदाय के पहले व्यक्ति बने. चन्नी के शपथ ग्रहण समारोह के लिए राहुल गांधी भी पहुंचे थे.
