A crucial component of one of Taiwan’s powerful anti-ship missile systems was shipped to China for repair, prompting fears about the potential leak of the weapon system.

ताइवान और चीन की दुश्मनी जगजाहिर है। चीन लगातार सेना के दम पर ताइवान पर कब्जे की धमकी देता रहा है। पिछले साल नवंबर में अमेरिकी स्पीकर नैन्सी पेलोसी के दौरे के समय तो चीन और ताइवान युद्ध के कगार पर पहुंच गए थे। इस बीच खुलासा हुआ है कि ताइवान ने स्वदेशी तौर पर विकसित अपने सबसे ताकतवर मिसाइल का एक हिस्सा चीन में मरम्मत के लिए भेजा था। इस मिसाइल का नाम Hsiung Feng III है.
