On September 20th, the 128th Constitutional Amendment Bill, 2023, known as the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam (नारी शक्ति वंदन अधिनियम), was passed in the Lok Sabha and the next day in the Rajya Sabha, introducing a 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha, state legislative assemblies, and the NCT of Delhi Assembly.
