In the backdrop of the MGC Museum of Asian Traditional Textiles in Siem Reap, Cambodia built in 2012 by the member countries of the Mekong-Ganga Cooperation, this film takes you on a colorful and fascinating journey through the six MGC countries, namely Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar and India, exploring the traditions of exquisite handmade textiles in each of these countries. The film showcases how young contemporary designers in these countries are using traditional textiles in their creations and thereby helping to preserve the skills and craftsmanship of these extraordinary weavers. The traditional fabrics of the expert weavers and the creative skills of the fashion designers culminate in a colorful fashion show at the MGC Museum.
