जन्माष्टमी के ही दिन भगवान कृष्ण का जन्म हुआ था, जो कि भगवान विष्णु के 8वें अवतार माने जाते हैं....

Today Shri Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated all over the country.... Temples have been decorated and devotees have started arriving.. Shobha yatra was taken out on Janmashtami in Mathura today... while in ISKCON temple of Delhi. There is a crowd of devotees since morning.
Lord Krishna was born on the day of Janmashtami, which is considered to be the 8th incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
