Malaika Arora Opens Up About Her Teenage Son’s Reaction To Her Relationship With Arjun Kapoor

Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor are officially the new ‘it’ couple of Bollywood and the lovebirds are presently vacationing in New York.

Arjun and Malaika’s relationship raised quite a few eyebrows as the latter is nine years elder to her boyfriend however, Malaika says that age difference ‘doesn’t really pop when you are in a relationship’. While talking to a leading daily about the age difference between them, she said that it’s about two minds and hearts coming together and that it’s unfortunate that we live in a society that refuses to progress. She said that while people hail a relationship when it involves an older man and younger woman, when the situation is reversed they call the woman desperate and buddhi. However, she doesn’t much care about such people’s opinion.

When asked how did her 16-year-old son, Arhaan Khan react to her relationship with the India’s Most Wanted actor, she said that she believes that the best way to approach any situation is with honesty and to tell your near and dear ones about what’s happening in your life. She said that after telling her son, she gave him some time and space to understand and process it. Malaika said that now that they have had a conversation, everybody is in a ‘much happier and more honest space’.

Malaika and Arjun celebrated Arjun’s 34th birthday in NYC, a few days ago.
