Moscow supports expanding the UN Security Council (UNSC), but not by admitting Germany and Japan, Russian Ambassador to China, Andrey Denisov, said on Monday. He added that Russia is open to the idea of membership for India and Brazil, but not Germany and Japan, “since this will not change the internal balance in any way”.

रूस ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद में भारत की स्थायी सदस्यता के लिए समर्थन जताया है. चीन में आयोजित ग्लोबल पीस फोरम में बोलते हुए रूसी राजदूत एंड्री डेनिसोव ने कहा कि वह भारत और ब्राजील को यूएनएससी का हिस्सा बनाए जाने के लिए चर्चा को तैयार हैं. डेनिसोव ने ये भी कहा कि रूस, जर्मनी और जापान को स्थायी सदस्य बनाए जाने के खिलाफ है.
