17 सितंबर 1948 को हैदराबाद के निजाम ने सरदार पटेल के आगे सरेंडर कर दिया था और हैदराबाद का भारत में विलय मान लिया था. इसी मुद्दे पर चर्चा करते हुए AIMIM के प्रवक्ता पवन राव अंबेडकर का कहना है कि जो लोग आज मुक्ति दिवस मनाने की बात कर रहे हैं उन्होंने इस देश में किसी भी तरह का कोई सहयोग नहीं किया.

On 17 September 1948, the Nizam of Hyderabad surrendered to Sardar Patel and accepted the merger of Hyderabad with India. While discussing the same issue, AIMIM spokesperson Pawan Rao Ambedkar says that those who are talking about celebrating Liberation Day today did not do any kind of cooperation in this country.
