Congress’ Urmila Matondkar Trails In Mumbai, BJP’s Sunny Deol Leads In Gurdaspur I Elections 2019

Bollywood actors Urmila Matondkar and Sunny Deol marked their political debut with this year’s Lok Sabha election. While Urmila joined the Congress party, Sunny fought on a BJP ticket.

Urmila, who had fought against BJP’s Gopal Shetty in Mumbai North constituency, is trailing as the latter is heading to a landslide victory.

On the other hand, BJP’s candidate from Gurdaspur, Sunny Deol is leading by almost 40,000 votes against Congress’ Punjab president, Sunil Jhakhar. Speaking to the reporters, Sunny said that he is ecstatic over the initial trends.

Sunny’s stepmother, Hema Malini, who fought on a BJP ticket, is also leading from Mathura. Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government is all set to make a clean sweep in 2019 general Elections and will be returning for a second term.
