अपने प्रेमी सचिम मीणा के साथ रहने के लिए नेपाल के रास्ते अवैध तरीके से भारत पहुंची सीमा के सभी दस्तावेज़ों को जांच के लिए पाकिस्तानी दूतावास में भेजा गया, जहां उनकी जांच की जा रही है। इस जांच के बाद ये पुष्टि होगी कि सीमा पाकिस्तान की नागरिक है या नहीं। इस बीच सीमा के वकील एपी सिंह का कहना है कि वो उसको भारत की नागरिकता दिलाने की पूरी कोशिश कर रहे हैं और इसके लिए राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू के पास याचिका भी डाली है। वहीं पाकिस्तान के बाशिदों का कहना है कि अब सीमा एक भारतीय की पत्नी है, ऐसे में उसे भारत की नागरिकता मिलनी ही चाहिए।

Meanwhile, Seema's lawyer AP Singh says that he is trying his best to get her Indian citizenship and has also petitioned President Draupadi Murmu for this. On the other hand, the residents of Pakistan say that now that Seema is the wife of an Indian, she must get Indian citizenship.
