With the tournament scheduled for February-March, there are growing concerns about whether India will be permitted to travel to Pakistan, the host nation, due to ongoing political tensions.

India have not played cricket in Pakistan since 2008, and any decision regarding their travel to the South Asian country requires clearance from the Indian government. Given the sensitive political relationship between the two nations, the likelihood of India receiving government approval seems slim. As a result, the prospect of a hybrid model for the tournament, similar to the format used for last year's Asia Cup, is emerging as the most feasible solution.
